Welcome to Joan's Knightingales, a team honoring Joan Knight, who lost her five year battle with ovarian cancer in January 2011. Joan fought tirelessly to raise money for ovarian cancer research at Duke, knowing that ovarian cancer is a death sentence for many women contracting this disease. She never complained about her cancer and instead focused on education for other patients and teaching medical students about the human side of cancer. Even as she entered Hospice care, Joan wanted to continue raising money for ovarian cancer research at Duke. Please help with a contibution today so that other women may not face the same fate.
