I was never alone in my fight and want to dedicate the walk this year to everyone who helped me through the most difficult time of my life. It is because of you that i was able to beat this cancer. it is because of you that I can enjoy time with my amazing family. It is because of you that I can enjoy time with precious friends. It is because of you that I will watch my precious niece grow up into a beautiful young lady. It is because of you that I am able to enjoy my life again. Without all of you, I'm not sure where I would be today. You gave me the strength to get through the most challenging times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Of cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. It is the third most common cancer in men and in women. A friend I grew up with and graduated high school with was diagnosed with colorectal cancer on October 31, 2017. Another friend I graduated high school with was diagnosed last year and had his take-down surgery about a month ago. Another person I graduated high school with lost his battle earlier this year.
I ask that you find it in your heart to donate to this cause. No amount is too small. Let's help find a cure for this disease. All donations from this event will go towards funding colorectal cancer research. Take it from me, I know what it is like to go day after day for radiation therapy. I know what it is like to undergo chemo. I know what it is like to watch your body dwindle down to nothing but skin and bones. I beat the odds. Some people are not so lucky. Let's help find a cure for this disease. Will you donate today?
Remember, No One FIGHTS Alone!
