Spivey's Supporters
Noah Spivey is the oldest of John and Christine's 4 children. At age 14, in June 2010, it was discovered that Noah had Ewing's sarcoma in his shoulder, a cancerous bone tumor that effects children. After multiple rounds of chemo and surgery, Noah's cancer was in remission. However, in October 2011 Noah's cancer returned, this time in his brain.
Noah, now 15 years old, is still attending school in the 8th grade on his good days.
John Spivey is a beloved member of the Raleigh/Durham branch family and we'd like to invite all the branches of the Carolina's, and the Mid-West region to take part in whatever way they can to help. Whether you are running, walking, cheering from the sidelines, or donating, your help means a lot to the Spivey family.
All the money raised by Spiveys Supporters will go to Angels Among Us. Angels Among Us has raised over $10,000,000 dollars for brain tumor research since 1994.
Angels Among Us is a celebration of life, strength, courage and commitment. It has become a national event, with thousands coming from across the country to participate, and make a difference. The success of Angels Among Us has continued to grow with the help of committed volunteers, Duke staff, and the Angels' Teams comprised of the families and friends of people diagnosed with brain tumors.
