Winks from GOD! (TM)
Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,
My husband will be the Team Captain in my absence, while I am making what seemed impossible - POSSIBLE. A year after brain surgery and only a few months after radiation, at the recommendation of one of my doctors, I returned to school. On the day of the event, I will be out of town starting my final semester as an Executive MBA Candidate at the College of William and Mary. As I walk across the stage in a few months, I will know the impossible is POSSIBLE with faith in GOD and the many great people He placed in my life for this moment. Thanks for your continued support.
On Sunday, July 19, 2015, GOD woke me. HE had guided me to this point. The point in which I truly realized that I had to stop depending on people and come to GOD; I needed to walk by Faith and not by sight. It did not take a long, eloquent speech, just a few simple words; "GOD whatever it is, reveal it".
It’s been two and a half years since the diagnosis of my brain tumor. Life has changed, but I have slowly learned to accept it. Even with the ups and downs, I know I have been amazingly blessed through the many “Winks from God!” (TM). He has blessed me, and I am now committed to blessing others on their brain tumor journey.
If you want to join me, please consider donating or participating as a member of my team “Winks from God!” (TM). Your contributions will help improve patients’ quality of life and fund research at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke.

So why “Winks from GOD!”?
During a truly spirit filled conversation shortly after surgery with a neighbor, I was discussing how God had perfectly orchestrated the 40 days from discovery to surgery. Why some things worked out simply did not make sense in my understanding, but I knew there are no coincidences. God was truly in the midst.
She mentioned her son calls those “Winks from GOD!”. As soon as I heard I knew how right that felt. God has winked at me many times during my journey. That is the only way any of this makes any sense.
