Thank you for visiting Clara's Angels! We invite you to join our team on April 28th as we run, walk, skip, or otherwise in the Angels Among Us event benefitting the Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke Hospital.
In December 2013 after a second brain surgery, Clara was diagnosed with gliobastoma multiforme or GBM. Thankfully, she was quickly linked to a team of doctors at Duke's Tisch Brain Tumor Center and began an aggressive battle against brain cancer. After beginning with a rigorous course of radiation, her treatment plan included a combination of immunotherapy (amazing science - look it up!), chemotherapy, and far more needles than she'd ever care to recall. She completed her treatment officially in April 2015 and continues to stay in close contact with her caregivers at Duke, in addition to building relationships with new and current patients.
Sign up with Clara's Angels and join us at Duke on April 28th at Angels Among Us, a celebration of life and the fight against brain cancer. We will continue to rally around Clara, participating in the 5K run and 3K family walk, while also raising money to support the tremendous care provided by the good folks at the Tisch Brain Tumor Center. If participating in spirit is more your style, I invite you to thoughtfully consider a donation to show your support! Many companies also offer gift matching, so check with your employers too. We appreciate your continuing show of strength and encouragement.
