We Wear Gray for Megan

Hi Everyone! 

The Angels Among Us 5K Run and Walk is the single-largest fundraising effort of the year for the Robert Preston Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University.  The money raised each year is critical to cutting edge research efforts and facility updates.  Last year $1.8 million was raised and the check was ceremoniously handed to Megan's neurosurgeon, Dr Allan Friedman.  This obviously takes on special meaning for Megan, knowing that all the money raised by "We Wear Gray for Megan" will go to her medical team to help advance brain tumor research.  The medical team here is working on the next "big thing" in brain tumor research and need every advantage in their fight against this enemy.  There are some very informative fact sheets on this website, check them out to learn more about this incredibly challenging disease.  

Thanks for coming to "We Wear Gray for Megan".  We would love for you to join our team and meet us in Durham, NC on April 28th to participate!  There are rooms blocked off by Duke University at the Millennium Hotel and at the Durham Hilton.  We are also going to block rooms at the Staybridge Suites Hotel in Durham.  Make your reservations for Friday and Saturday night (27th and 28th of April).          

If you are unable to join the team on race day, you can still donate to the cause and make a considerable difference.  Either way, you are helping the ultimate goal: Cure Brain Cancer.
